Welcome to the Cryptography Group of the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis. Our group primarily consists of members of the Security Lab and Theory Lab interested in cryptography-related topics. We have regular meetings for our Crypto Reading Group and other events. EEC 290 Fall Seminar: Prof. Ian Blake (University of British Columbia) will talk on the topic of "A retrospective look at the discrete logarithm problem in cryptography."
Wednesday 11-19-08 4:10-5:00 1131 Theory Seminar: Adam O'Neill (Georgia Tech) will talk on the topic of "Honesty, Rationality, and Malice in Secret Sharing and MPC: Robust Protocols for Real-World Populations."
Wednesday 10-22-08 4:10-5:00 1131 Theory Seminar: Mark Gondree will present a survey on the topic of "how to solve search problems privately" (e.g., see Beimel et al Crypto 2007) with some discussion on work-in-progress in applying this idea to the longest common subsequence problem.
Wednesday 10-15-08 4:10-5:00 1131 Theory Seminar: Payman Mohassel will talk about his results in Secure Linear Algebra, which appeared at Crypto 2008.
Monday 10-13-08 &mdash 12-08-08 1:00-2:00 3083 The "reading group" format has been suspended in favor of an informal "work-in-progress" Lab Group meeting. The members have decided to, instead, participate their more formal presentations to the student-run UCD Theory Seminar series.
